We are Chrome for Developers
Chrome is celebrating its 15th anniversary this month. It’s hard to believe how much the web has changed in that time. We, the Chrome team, feel privileged to have played a part in its evolution in partnership with one of the most driven, thriving communities. Most of the capabilities and exciting experiences of today’s web exist because of the contributions of engineers across browser vendors, standard bodies, frameworks and libraries, and a multitude of open-source contributors and the work done by web developers.
When Chrome launched 15 years ago, we also launched Chromium as a commitment to support the web. The underlying engine followed the core values of being a good user agent, promoting a useful and thriving web, and safeguarding the web’s openness. These values continue to guide our work to meet the changing needs of users, developers, and the web.
